Welcome to Kinisi E-mobility

KIM (Kinisi In-kind Mobility) was created to provide hassle-free e-cycle stewardship to Auroville residents. It is a novel membership-based concept in shared sustainable mobility.

KIM Participation Agreement entered into between Kinisi (a Unit of Auroville) and the Participant.

The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice and all Agreements: "Participant", "You" and "Your" refers to you, the person log on this website and compliant to the Company’s terms and conditions. "The Company", "Ourselves", "We", "Our" and "Us", refers to our Company. "Party", "Parties", or "Us", refers to both the Client and ourselves. All terms refer to the offer, acceptance and consideration of payment necessary to undertake the process of our assistance to the Client in the most appropriate manner for the express purpose of meeting the Client’s needs in respect of provision of the Company’s stated services, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing law of India. Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalization and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.

Participant undertakes

The Participant undertakes and agrees as follows:.

• To participate in the Kinisi In-kind Mobility (KIM) service as per the terms of this agreement.
• To recognise at all times that the ownership of the e-cycle is, and remains with Kinisi and not to claim ownership of the e-cycle or sell or rent out the e-cycle.
• To use the e-cycle only for personal use by the Participant.
• To bring the e-cycle for scheduled regular service checks and maintenance to Kinisi.
• To transfer the monthly KIM contribution from Participants’ Auroville Financial Service account to KIM account no. 252708 for the maintenance of the e-cycle. For the current financial year the monthly contribution is Rs.850.00, 1250.00, 1450.00 accordinlly. For future financial years the contribution may be revised.
• To participate in the KIM service for at least one year after a trial period of one month with automatic annual renewal.
• To keep the e-cycle in the custody of the Kinisi workshop if Participant leaves Auroville for more than three weeks.
• To accept full responsibility for the care of the e-cycle while under the stewardship of Participant.
• To accept termination of this agreement and return of the e-cycle to Kinisi if demanded by Kinisi when Participant violates any term of this agreement or upon receiving a one-month notice from Kinisi.
• To return the e-cycle to Kinisi upon the completion/termination of the agreement in a fit and good working condition.
• To reimburse Kinisi for any damages to the e-cycle except for normal wear and tear. Broken or bent stands, spokes, rims, damaged frames, handlebars, seats or other parts caused by misuse and/or crashes are not considered as normal wear and tear and the related repair costs need to be covered by the Participant.
• To replace the e-cycle and the provided accessories in the case of theft or loss.
• Not to claim damages or compensation from Kinisi or any other entity of Auroville / Auroville Foundation for mechanical breakdowns or accidents that may occur with the e-cycle.

Kinisi Undertakes

Kinisi undertakes as follows:.

• To provide the Participant with a good working e-cycle on the date of commencement of this agreement..
• To carry out periodical service and maintenance on scheduled maintenance dates or as otherwise agreed between Kinisi and Participant.
• To provide Participant with a stand-by e-cycle in case of major repairs, subject to availability.
